Artstead Fundraiser/Ephemerisle Kickoff
Date From July 21, 2010 8:00 PM
Hello supporters of art and possibilities!
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who has contributed to the Artstead Boat Project thus far. We are forever in your debt for being crazy enough to love this idea. The ability to see potential is our greatest asset and the fuel on which we run. Against all logic we have cleared our calendars and turned down actual paid work because we feel that this visionary idea is exciting enough to literally loose sleep over. We are looking forward to announcing Bay Area show dates this summer and fall.
At this time we have exactly 30 days to reach our funding goal so if you know anyone who might see something in this endeavor and want to contribute please do forward this message! If we don’t reach the goal we get zero funding from kickstarter, that’s the deal. Chicken John is threatening to wash cars in a bikini on Army Street and believe me nobody wants that. Yikes!
Upcoming events include a fundraiser dinner Wednesday the 21st and a work day this coming Friday the 16th.
“Dinner and a Show” will take place at Chez Poulet on Wednesday the 21st of July, 7-10 pm, $35.00 http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/120234
The work day will begin at 9:30 in Oakland and we will carpool to the boat and work 4 or 5 hours. We have a bunch of antique european velvet we will be using to upholster the interior. Wow! (labor intensive but so worth it!) Call Anja if interested!
For updates and pictures of the boat check out the site! http://kck.st/at5Zju
Many thanks and much love,
The Artstead Boat Project Crew
